Tracking records events. Navigation preserves context.
A workout does not exist independently of recent training load, previous response, recovery, interruptions, progression, other training modalities, changing capacity or longer-term history. Not every factor has equal automated influence in Vetra today, but preserving relevant context creates a better foundation than treating every session as isolated.
An individual response matters.
Two athletes can complete the same prescribed session and experience different outcomes. The same athlete may also respond differently to the same stimulus at different stages of life or training.
Training stimulus → individual response → observed outcome → future context
Why longitudinal history matters.
The longer an athlete trains, the more valuable their own response history can become. Training history should accumulate informational value instead of becoming only an archive.
What Vetra does today.
Vetra currently supports structured strength and endurance training, today's training and programme context, completed-session recording, athlete reflection, recovery and readiness context, weekly progress, accumulated history and longitudinal context. These capabilities support informed training decisions without claiming a fully autonomous predictive model.
Performance Navigation versus fitness tracking.
| Fitness tracking | Performance Navigation |
|---|---|
| Records activities | Retains relevant history |
| Stores measurements | Connects training with athlete response |
| Summarises past work | Uses accumulated evidence as future context |
The categories overlap. Tracking remains an essential input to Performance Navigation.
Built for mixed training lives.
Strength, running, cycling, hybrid and endurance work all belong to the same athlete, alongside recovery. Vetra is designed so the athlete does not have to become a single-sport identity.
Important limitation.
Vetra is a training and performance support system. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment.
